A particular advantage of framed rupture discs is their self-sealing design. No additional sealing ring is required in the installation space.
This type of rupture disc is suitable for smaller diameters of 7 – 18 mm and low burst pressures in the range of 12 – 600 bar (175 – 8700 psi).
Extremely thin burst foils made of nickel, stainless steel and nickel-based alloys can be used. The housings are usually made entirely of copper. Alternatively, stainless steel, brass and aluminium are possible.
- Ø 7 – Ø 9 mm: 24 – 600 bar (350 – 8700 psi)
- Ø 10 – Ø 18 mm: 12 – 600 bar (175 – 8700 psi)
